Linda Erjavec
Background & Education
Linda Erjavec grew up in Chicago. I started school at Grace English
Lutheran Church & School. During the time at Grace, I started organ
lessons and began playing for chapel & church services in 7th grade. I
substituted at many Chicago Churches. I attended Luther North where I
played for the choirs as well as pre-concert music on the organ. I
continued my education at Concordia Teachers College, River Forest.
During this time, I had employment at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1st St. Johns
Lutheran Church and Concordia Lutheran Church. I graduated with BA
degree in elementary with a major in music - DPM (Director of Parish Music)
& a minor in psychology. I received a call to Redeemer Lutheran Church
& School in Cicero, Ill. I taught there for almost 7 years at various
grade levels. This is where I met my husband, Gerald. We were
married there a year later.
We moved to Schiller Park, Ill. & started a family. We transferred
to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Franklin Park, Ill. I became involved by
accompanying the choir. In 1990, I became the Music Director. We
became more involved at Bethlehem & transferred. I worked as a Day
Care Worker for 7 years, substituting as needed. Started teaching piano
lessons, began a school music program & directed the children's choir,
assisted the principal with various classes & helped the Pre 3/4 teacher.
I accepted a call to St. Johns Lutheran Church & School, Lombard, Ill. for a
short period of time. I am so glad to be back a Bethlehem.
I am looking forward to servicing Bethlehem by playing for church & working
with the adult choir. I plan on using the knowledge & resources I
acquired during my leave in the school.

Favorite Bible Verses
Psalm 23
Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall
not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green
pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will
follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
